Many airline positions like being a pilot or flight attendant require that you not have any felony convictions, DUIs, visible tattoos, extra piercings, etc. Weight must be in proportion to your height and you must be in good physical shape. Please be sure to review the job requirements listed for each program before beginning a program of study to make sure you will be able to meet the minimum qualifications. Pilots will have to pass an FAA medical exam.

No. We do not provide housing.
We are a ground school with flight simulators that offers credit by examination for flight training that students secure at local flight schools. The college also supports a flying team that competes with other aviation schools. Yes. Cypress College offers up to 12 units of credit for students who already work in the industry with FAA certifications or veterans with related experience. Please see the Cypress College Catalog and the Department Coordinator for more details.
The ATC Program operates primarily during the fall and springs semesters. Although have limited staff on campus during the summer, we can be reached by email.
